Wild Wise
Storytelling for Inclusivity
Wild Wise is an outdoor workshop on plant and fungi identification. Participants learn to recognise seasonal species, explore their role in folklore and traditional remedies, and consider what modern science confirms about their effects.
Foraging here is not about filling baskets but about cultivating awareness. Each plant or mushroom is studied as part of an ecosystem, carrying both practical value and cultural meaning. The workshop connects observation, history, and evidence to deepen respect for the living systems around us.
Identifying Wild Plants and Fungi
Wild Wise brings people closer to the landscapes they inhabit, whether urban or rural. It is hands-on and outdoors, combining practice with knowledge. Participants leave able to identify wild plants and fungi and with insight into their historical uses and current scientific understanding.
This workshop fosters curiosity and responsibility while offering a direct, memorable experience of nature.
